People like to find out what
other people think. And you'd probably like to find out what your
customers think.
That's why the voting
feature on Interactive Messaging Unlimited is so popular. By using
SMS text messaging, users can register their opinions on all sorts of
topics, and see if they agree with their peers.
Its easy to create a voting
session. Simply type in the question and choices, then configure a few
options. For example, you can choose whether to allow duplicate votes
-- this can raise revenues if you charge on a per-vote basis. Or, you can
limit users to one vote per
phone. You can also choose whether to show the vote totals as they come
in, or wait until the voting period is over.

Which beer do you think is most popular? By texting an "H", "B" or "M"
to the IMU number, users easily register their votes. The outcome can be
for
the users' entertainment ("Hey, I didn't realize everybody here
likes Miller") or can give you information ("We'd better stock more
Miller tonight")

In a sweepstakes contest,
users get the
opportunity to win prizes. You can thus build
excitement for an event or product promotion.
After users send their
entry information via SMS, you can
send back a reply SMS message such as "Thanks for entering our Mustang-a-day
contest. Visit your local Ford dealer for a test drive.".
You can also make entering the contest
"consent" to be put on an opt-in list. Then, periodically send SMS
messages back to the users. The messages can be about the contest itself
("Sorry you did not win this time. Try again.") as well as about your
product or service ("Get a Mustang with 0% financing this week only. Bring
this text message to your Ford dealer to confirm.")

confirmation in reply.
